Monica Ma, OD
Dr. Monica Ma was raised in Cary, NC and is a graduate of William G.
Enloe High School in Raleigh. She graduated from the University of
North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a double major in Biology and
Psychology. After college, Dr. Ma obtained another bachelor of
science in Visual Science and her Doctorate of Optometry from the
Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University. In school,
she was active in many extracurricular activities, including community
service and received clinical honors multiple semesters. At
graduation, Dr. Ma received additional awards for her level of
clinical excellence. Her clinical training emphasized the areas of
pediatric optometry, standard and multifocal contact lenses, as well
as ocular disease and pathology. The highlight of her rotations was
learning from the top eye experts at the world renowned Bascom Palmer
Eye Institute in Miami, FL. It has been a long time goal for Dr. Ma
to return to North Carolina and practice optometry in the state that she
grew up in. She feels excited and blessed for the opportunity to
give back to the community through excellent eye care and service.
Currently, Dr. Ma is engaged to be married to a fellow optometrist
and classmate. In our free time, we enjoy traveling, staying active,
cheering for our favorite sport teams, and surrounding ourselves with
friends and family.
